Hi everyone, today I’ll share my thoughts on Katy Perry’s second studio record “Teenage Dream”. This album is one of the most successful albums of all time, every single track from “Teenage Dream” is certified Gold by RIAA, also this is the album with the most #1’s of all time 6 (including “Part Of Me”).

I don’t think this is Katy’s best album, it has some bops but isn’t her best body of work.
The production is very nostalgic (because it was released in 2010), every song here is designed like a radio hit, every song here is very cute and catchy, we even have some ballads that we needed there.
Overall, good album, amazing production, beautiful lyrics (excepting “Peacock”, that song is… not good).

14. Peacock
This is the dirtiest song from this album. Is ridiculous nasty, and ugly. It sounds very cringe for me.
The track is about wanting to see someones “Peac*ck”.
This is one of the cringiest Katy Perry song ever.

13. Who Am I Living For?
This song is actually pretty beautiful. I like her vocals on this, the production is good too, but it’s forgettable for me, it sounds just like another 2010 song.

The lyrics here are very beautiful, I like the message of this song, the production is very good too.
I don’t really like the chorus, and you know that if the chorus is bad the entire song is bad.
I can’t believe every single part of this song is better than the chorus.

11. Not Like The Movies
For me the production of this song sounds just like some windows 7 sounds effects. It’s a strange sensation. The lyrics are sad, this is very emotional, you have to listen to it by yourself to understand it. I love her vocals there, her voice is very beautiful. The bridge is powerful.

10. If we ever meet again
This collaboration sounds dated, Timbaland’s voice is too autotuned. The verses are foretabble, the chorus is very catchy, that's just a cute song from 2010.

This song sounds very cringe now, is cute of course but the lyrics are too generic.
The production is pretty beautiful. The chorus is pretty catchy too. But like “If we ever meet again” it’s just a cute song.

8. California Gurls (feat. Snoop Dogg)
This song is very cute and catchy is like a perfect candy dream or something. I like Soop’s verse.
The lyrics are radio designed, this song was made to be a smash hit, it’s very colorful and things. But again just a cute song (please don’t hate me Katy Fans).

7. Last Friday Night (TGIF)
The lyrics are the best part of this song, this is a song to laugh to (if that makes sense).
The production sounds very Hannah Montana (like a 2010 cute Disney Movie).
The music video makes this song beautiful for me, just go watch it.

6. E.T
This is such a highlight on the album, the production is so dark in comparison with the rest of the album. The lyrics are at the point (not the best but not the worst).
The music video is underrated and the Kanye West version is unnecessary.

5. Hummingbird HeartBeat
The rock inspired production is everything on this song.
The lyrics are about losing you cherry or something. The chorus is very catchy and energetic.
This is a highlight in Katy's career.

4. Teenage Dream
This is the best cute song from this album. Is about having good moments with your partner and things like that. I really love the production, the lyrics are one of the best there.

3. The One That Got Away
This is the best written song from this album, the most emotional song from this album, the minimal production is highlighting Katy’s voice.
This is about having good moments, reaching the highest peak and then going nowhere.
Rating: 10/10
2. Firework
This is the most iconic song from the entire album, the production is very energetic, the song itself is an empowering anthem. The bridge and the chorus are unbelievable live.
The lyrics are very Katy Perry characteristic.
I love it.

1, Circle The Drain
Yes this is my favorite from the entire album.
The song is about a toxic partner that is addicted to drugs and breaking up with him cause “You have to be his lover not his mother, she should be your saver but she doesn't have the power”.
The rock production is very aggressive (I enjoy it), the lyrics are flawless as I said.
