How Dua Lipa reinvented herself with Future Nostalgia / Is Future Nostalgia the best album of 2020 (so far)?

 Hi everyone, and sorry for being inactive in the past two  weeks. Anyway today I`ll talk about how Dua Lipa literally reinvented and gave us a original and infectious sound with her 2020 album - Future Nostalgia.

Dus Lipa came into music back in 2015 and released her self-titled album in 2017 . The album scored the global phenomenon of New Rules. Dua Lipa (the album) is  the most streamed album by a female artist with over 6.5B streams on Spotify.

In 2018 she released One Kiss with Calvin Harris. That song was peaked at #1 in UK. With that song she started the disco era and used this sound on Electricity which won Best Dance Recording at the 2019 Grammy Awards. 

On November 1st, 2019 Dua Lipa released Don`t start now - an empowering break up anthem. 

Don`t start now is a timeless song. Having disco elements in it. It s  truly infectious to be honest. Don`t start now was peaked at  #1 and #2 in UK and US  respectively. It scored over 1B streams on Spotify. Also it is the lead single of Future Nostalgia.

In January Physical - the second official single of Future nostalgia was released. This is an 80`s inspired song with a powerful chorus and bridge. This is another timeless song.

Finally, on March 27, 2020 Future Nostalgia was released. A 11 tracks album, fully disco inspired. Future Nostalgia stayed 2 weeks at #1 in UK and peaked at #4 in US. 

The sound is a step forward from her self-titled album. Experimenting with disco. The album highlights are Levitating and Hallucinate. Every single song is different but have the same energy that bring you to life. The disco thing became a trend in 2020 thanks to albums like this.

Future Nostalgia was praised by critics around the world due to its cohesion and no filler tracks. Every single song on the album have it`s own style but fits perfectly with the rest of the album in the same time. My personal favorites are : Levitating, Don`t start now and Physical. I think that all of those three songs can be one of the bests 2020 tracks. 

In August Dua released a Club Future Nostalgia with club remix. Featuring artists like Madonna and Gwen Stefani.

Overall I can say that Future Nostalgia is the best album of 2020 having a infectious disco sound which 2020 is represented by.
