Is Good News by Megan Thee Stallion good? l Album Breakdown

 Last Thee Friday midnight, Megan Thee Stallion ,released her highly anticipated debut studio album,called ``Good News`` which includes songs like: Savage Remix(feat.Beyonce), Girls In The Hood and Don't Stop (feat.Young Thug).

``Good News`` have cohesive theme about sex and how Megan is a hot girl. She have song where she's discussing about the same subject matter, released in the past .

Also, this have a lot of filler tracks from its 17. 

``Good News`` isn't something different from Megan's past projects, and that's not necessarily bad.

Talking about album's content: Some songs made you feel good, some song are boring as hell, some songs are bops, some songs sounds the same. Basically we have a generic trap sound with some exceptions, where Megan is experimenting with R&B or other genre.

Tracks Breakdown:

I can't do a rank to this album, that's why I'll talk bout each song  in the track-list  order.

1. Shots Fired

This is catchy, but you got boring until the end of the song. Other songs from this album  have the same thing - they're boring, is like you have the idea, and its good but you don't go higher with that sound you keep it down. That`s the disadvantage of this song. Overall the production is okay, nothing really special and Megan`s flow on this is so smooth (love that).

Rating: 8/10 Good

2. Circles 

You can`t get bored of this, first thing first - the production, I like the sample from the background and that bass. Her delivery on the track is amazing. This is a huge hit in my opinion.

Rating: 10/10 

3. Cry Baby (feat.DaBaby)

I expected more from this. This is annoying, boring and repetitive. Not  a standout for me, a filler in my opinion.

Rating: 6/10 bad

4. Do It On That Tip (feat. City Girls, Hot Girl Meg)

This is too repetitive and annoying. It don't make you feel horny or something, is just annoying. The subject matter is garbage.

Rating: 5/10 Bad

5. Sugar Baby

This is a little bit better than the previous tracks. The lyrics are good enough to keep you alive and the production is different from the other tracks.

Rating: 7.5/10 Average

6. Movie (feat. Lil Durk)

This is a standout for me. I like Lil Durk on this, it is making this song  distinctive. The production is very good. Being dark and naughty. 

Rating; 9/10 Very Good

7.  Freaky Girls (feat.SZA)

This song will be remembered by me as the perfect collab between a R&B artist and Megan. SZA's vocals are so well placed there, complementing Megan's verses.

Rating; 9/10 Very Good

8. Body

In this she's singing about her body. Overall the song isn't bad, but boring.

Rating: 7/10 not the best

9.What's New

The production of this song is hot. Megan's delivery is very good too and complements the production. This is definitely a standout.

Rating: 10/10 Perfection

10. Work That

This is a well produced filler. I think this album could be better without tracks like. I don't say the track is bad, but it have a repetitive and already boring subject matter.

Rating: 7/10 Not the best

11. Intercourse 

I don't like Latin music !

Rating: 3/10 Low as possible

12. Go Crazy

This is a good one. Big Sean's verse is so good, is a standout verse there. Megan's parts are good as usual and 2Chainz is there too. A good chemistry I guess.

Rating: 8/10 Good

 

13. Don’t Rock Me To Sleep

This is a disco inspired tracks that had potential but it became boring, repetitive and promotes some bullshit. The chorus is so bad.

Rating: 4/10 Beurk

14. Outside

This is one of my favorite from this. I am a huge fan of this production and finally a more mature subject matter, It was love at first sight for me with this song.

Rating: 10/10 Almost the best

15. Savage Remix

This is the best hip-hop song of 2020 for sure. And Megan's best song. The chemistry is there, the delivery is there and the bad bitch feeling is there too.

Rating: 10/10 The Best

16. Girls In The Hood

In this she provides that she's a Hot Girl and you should respect her. I like her aggressive delivery on this, alongside the production.

Rating: 8.5/10 Very Good

17. Don't Stop (feat.Young Thug)

This is so hot. The hook in the production is very catchy, it's something different from her. The way she sing it is so smooth an gives you that euphoria feeling actually.
