If 10 years ago you could do a professional edit only on a desktop, now you can do it with no problems on your phone! Here are some of my favorites editing apps for Android (and iOS).
1. PicsArt
This is my favorite photo-editor for mobile. I love that app because have a lot of options and is simple to use. You can do stickers, collages, you can import existing stickers/backgrounds from the app,you can add light effects ,and that app have some dope filters. You can also remix some edits and you can participe at challenges made by the creators .
Basically this app is made to give life to your photos, to make something incredible even on your phone. I use PicsArt since November 2018 and it is flawless. Picsart also have a paid subscription (8$ a month) to unlock some filters and some exclusive stickers.

2. Adobe Lighroom / Photoshop Express
These are some really good editors if you don`t like PicsArt`s design or if you want a simple to use app to edit your photos for Instagram (and not only).
Lightroom is very simple to use. Here you can adjust things like sharpness, saturation, brightness etc. You can also add a profile to your photo (artistic, monochrome, modern, vintage). The app have a section where are posted tutorials . Overall is a simple to use app winch can adjust the photo light, details and things like that. to take advantage of all the functions of the publisher, you will have to pay 5$ a month or 50$ per year.
Photoshop on the other hand, has some good filters and a lot of options but is simple to use too. Here you have a lot of filters and some profesional correction options.
I prefer more Photoshop express for his options versatility and it`s totally free!

3. VSCO
VSCO is a social media/editor. The advantage of this app is the filters divided by categories.I don`t see VSCO better than Lightroom or even PicsArt but is good if you want the social media part of the app.if you want to take advantage of all functios, you should pay 1.67$ a month or 19.99$ per year.
4. Snapseed
Snapseed was promoted as a profesional editing app and I got to say.. that`s true. The advantage of this app is you can play with details and ypu can add some HDR , some vintage effects etc. The disadvantage : is too complicated to use if you are not a profesional photographer. You can learn how to use it but this can take some time.
5. Afterlight
